Tom Sawyer Revisted

I've heard tall tales about a young George Saylor who hosted "Raking Parties" where he served drinks and played DJ while his friends unwittingly did his chore of raking the absolutely enormous lawn at 411 Orchard Street.

They called him "today's Tom Sawyer" (no mention though of a mean, mean pride, thank you very much Rush).

Proving himself to be true to his character, the now almost 40 year old George pulled another Tom Sawyer.
Believe it or not he managed to convince our kids and a number of neighbour kids that pulling staples from the floorboards in our kitchen is a good time.

9:30pm and they are still at it.
... and still having a good time.
Maybe it's time we change our last name from Saylor to Sawyer.

ps Kitchen reno is well under way.  Photos will be posted when it's all done.  If you're curious about the progress stop on by the house ... wear work clothes though, you never know if Mr. Sawyer will rope you into a job.
