A little hard work put it all in perspective! Yesterday we joined some home school families at Pioneer Village for a program called "A Day in the Life of a Pioneer Family". It gave the kids a great appreciation for the home life and home schooling they have in 2007! They played old timey games, danced some old timey dances, did the laundry, "picked" the wool, and went to a one room school where in Karis' words "That was horrible, you couldn't even talk!". The staff at Pioneer Village were amazing, they played their roles and did a great job of showing the kids what life was like in "the Olden Days". Needless to say it was not so difficult to get the kids to do their little chores around the house today. All-in-all it was a fun day ... good friends, good learnin', and a little perspective!

SO cool, R! Wish we could have been there!
The children are still having nightmares from that teacher... when they saw these pictures... they remembered the whole story.. and that THEIR HANDS WERE CLEAN! phew!
It was a good day though...
