Shoved in a bag at the bottom of the closet.
Every week on laundry day more socks added to the bag.
Still no purpose.
Socks are sockS - as a sock it cannot do what it was designed to do.
Even the infamous Sock Monkey requires a pair of socks.
So what do you do with those purposeless single socks.
You dump them on the living room floor.
You throw in some scissors and some tape.
You put some old time radio shows on the ipod.
And you unleash the creativity of three home school kids!
How about that - the single sock has purpose.
It's now a skirt, a shirt, shorts, headbands, a turtleneck and a diaper ...
for every webkinz and groovy girl in the house! Complete with little holes for ears and tails.
Good thing too ... those webkinz were looking a little naked and cold.
As a side note: Justin did recognize that his shirt was a little inappropriate since his lion's belly was showing. But - if you give it a tug it was more modest. That's my boy - always on the side of modesty.
And as for the old time radio shows? They were a huge hit ... the kids were absolutely silent as they listened and created. Silent - my kids silent. Now there's the true miracle of the day - silence. They're already looking forward to what radio shows we'll listen to next week!

That's awesome! I love it! I need your kids to come to my house to give my single socks a purpose! A 3 year old and scissors is not quite something I'm ready to deal with. And where did you the radio shows? Remember trying to find stories on the radio at night on car trips?
