Mr. Mission Impossible

I'm a little afraid.
My husband just left to go see the latest Mission Impossible at the IMAX with some guys from church.
Not a biggy.  Guys night out.  Smuggle in some candy, watch the movie, hoot and holler a little, come home.
Except that I have a memory ...
1996
Mission Impossible - opening night

This time, instead of guys night out, we went to see the movie with a bunch of campus ministry staff during spring institute training.  We hoot, we holler, we smuggle candy (or rather yogurt - I seem to remember George convincing me to throw yogurt and spoons in my purse!), we watch the movie.  Great night.

We get back to campus and my beau (soon to be husband) with his adrenaline and testosterone pumping decides that it's time to impress his woman.

And this, my friends, is why I am afraid tonight.

You see, in true Tom Cruise exuberance my dear George blurred the line between theatrics and reality and he climbed - with no ropes or safety harnesses - the outside wall of my residence hall, McKee Hall.

McKee Hall
If seeing the first movie in a crappy old theatre with a leaky ceiling and creaky chairs made him climb walls - there's no telling what tonight might bring.
Mission Impossible in IMAX ...
oh dear.
