It's true, the shoemaker's son goes barefoot, the carpenter's home is unfinished, and for us - the photographer's family is without a formal family photo.
This was my attempt.
I think you'll agree that it was out of my hands. I will take the low road and blame the subjects of my photo. Then again, I may need to reconcile that I have indeed captured the true heart and soul of my family. Their heart and soul may be a little crazy, a little nutty, and even a little scary. But they're mine - and I love them with every bit of my heart and soul!
I guess I shouldn't try so hard to make us appear to be something we aren't. It just frustrates me. Authenticity - it's essential.
