Any guesses as to what my secret ingredient is in the cake that my family quickly devoured?

it's probably something crazy - like turnip! or barley! is the recipe from that whole food cooking book you showed me the other day? :) Can't wait for the recipe!
I can see green stuff. Is it spinach?
It seems to have an orange-reddish hue so I'm guessing red peppers although I can't imagine this in a cake - especially one that my grandchilden would eat!
