May 18: Eden's First "real" Track Meet, the Christian School Invitational Meet

Runners, take your mark
Moms, get out your cameras

Runners, Get set, and GO!
Moms, start screaming "Go, Go, Go ..." as if she's not already "go-ing" as hard as she can.

Runners, huff and puff.
Moms, meander down the track. Glad to say my racing days are behind me.

In the homeschooling day we rarely have opportunities for competition. I believe that a little competition can be good for the soul (operative word being "little"). Helps keep you humble. Shows you where you need to improve. Gives you a boost in confidence. In Eden's case it did a little of all of those.

For her younger brother and sister looking on longingly it provided a goal to attain - someday they too will take their place, get ready, get set, and BANG, go!!
